Welcome to Legacy Virtual High School.

Katy Independent School District is evolving its long-standing Katy Virtual School (KVS) into Legacy Virtual High School (LVHS). Building on Katy ISD’s tradition of educational excellence, Legacy Virtual High School will open in Fall 2026 for students in grades 9–11 as part of the District’s Innovative Pathways initiative. This new, forward-thinking campus expands access to high-quality virtual learning while maintaining the academic rigor and strong reputation of a Katy ISD education.

Legacy Virtual High School will offer both full-time, tuition-free enrollment for eligible Texas students and tuition-based part-time/supplemental options, allowing learners to enhance their graduation plans through Advanced Placement and original credit courses. Students will be supported by Texas-certified teachers, personalized instruction, and a comprehensive course catalog aligned to graduation endorsements in Multidisciplinary Studies, Arts and Humanities, Business and Industry, and STEM–Computer Science.

Enrollment opens in February 2026, with classes beginning in August 2026, pending approval from the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
