Virtual Teacher Training Course (Required)

Enhance your teaching practice with our 3-week Virtual Teacher Training Course, designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully facilitate an online classroom. This fully asynchronous course offers the flexibility to learn at your own pace within the designated course dates while engaging in meaningful content and activities.

Throughout the course, you will explore the best practices of virtual teaching, including strategies for student engagement, effective use of digital tools, and methods to establish an inclusive and interactive online learning environment. Upon completion, participants will earn 30 hours of professional development credit and will be eligible to teach Katy ISD virtual courses.

Any Katy ISD personnel with applicable teaching certifications can explore the available Eduphoria training sessions below and choose the one that best fits their schedule.

 

Online Instructor Certification Course (Optional - Course Development Certification)

After successfully completing the Virtual Teacher Training course, take the next step in your professional journey with our 3-week Online Instructor Certification Course, designed for educators who are interested in course development opportunities. This fully online program provides 30 hours of professional development credit and equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to design effective online classrooms.

Through interactive modules and practical applications, you will learn how to build engaging course content, structure meaningful learning experiences, and apply best practices in instructional design. By the end of the course, you’ll be prepared to create high-quality virtual learning environments that support student success and showcase your expertise as an online instructor.
